How can I reserve The Clover Patch Guesthouse? There are several ways to reserve The Clover Patch Guesthouse. We recommend reserving directly through this website but you are also welcome to email us at info@thecloverpatch.com or just call LaDonna who is always happy to help! If you choose to reserve on-line, LaDonna will reach out to you by phone within 48 hours to confirm details and finalize payment. Note that your reservation is subject to review and subject to cancellation should we find that you do not meet our Terms and Conditions.
-
How many guests can The Clover Patch accommodate? The Guesthouse has 3 bedrooms with queen-size beds in each. There is an additional queen size bed inside the pull-out sofa in the living room. Because we often rent to large parties and hunting groups, we are accustomed to accommodating up to 10 people so long as everyone understands and comes prepared with sleeping bags, cots, etc. We do ask that you contact us if your party is greater than 8. We'll work with you to ensure everyone is comfortable and has all they need.
-
Are there any age requirements to reserve The Clover Patch?Yes. The primary renter and occupant must be at least 21 years old. If you are reserving the Guesthouse for guests who do not meet this age requirement, please contact LaDonna directly to discuss possible options.
-
What is your security deposit for the Guesthouse? In lieu of a security deposit, we ask that our guests simply abide by the honor system. Because our home is adjacent to the Guesthouse, we are on property most of the time. And in the years we've been offering The Clover Patch as a vacation rental, we've been smiled upon in that all of our guests have left the property in absolutely perfect condition. So, we do not currently require a security deposit. We trust that our guests will be good stewards of our property and that you'll let us know if unintentional damage does occur or if any problem arises at all, really. It remains true that you ARE responsible for the total cost of repairs for any damage done to the property during your stay. You can read more about that in our Terms and Conditions. We also hold your credit card information until the end of your stay and reserve the right to charge the credit card for any damage repair amount. We also reserve the right to charge your card for any excessive cleaning required.
-
What is the standard cleaning fee for the property? The standard cleaning fee is included in the rental price of the The Clover Patch Guesthouse. Please note this is for standard cleaning. There is NO excessive cleaning service included in the rental price of the Guesthouse. We reserve the right to charge your credit card a fee of not less than $250 for excessive cleaning. Please take care to treat our home as your own. **Please also note that we DO NOT WANT the $250+.

How much will I be charged when I make my reservation? If you reserve the Guesthouse online AND check out using the Paypal option, the full amount will be charged at the time of your reservation. Cancellation rules still apply and you can learn more about those here. If you make your reservation by phone or through the website and choose the MANUAL payment option, you have the option of paying for your reservation based on the following guidelines: If your scheduled arrival date is more than 60 days from today, you will be charged 25% of the total reservation amount. The balance will be due at 60 days prior to your arrival. If your arrival date is 60 days or less from today, the entire balance will be charged at the time of reservation. Either way, 60 days out, the full amount of your reservation will need to be paid. Again, our cancellation policy is generous so we try to keep worries about refunds to a minimum. And you can always email us if you have more questions or need further clarification.
-
How will I know my booking was successful?Within 20-30 minutes of reserving, you will receive an email with your confirmation number. Additionally, within 48 hours you'll receive a phone call from LaDonna to further review details & to finalize payment. In the meantime, if you have any questions or just want to confirm that all is well, please feel free to email LaDonna or give us a ring at 970-268-5017.

How do I obtain keys to The Guesthouse? The Guesthouse is equipped with an electronic keyless entry. You will receive an email from us 3 days prior to arrival with the home access information specific to your reservation. On the day of arrival, you do not need to check in with Roger or LaDonna. Just go straight in to the Guesthouse, kick off your shoes and spend a minute exploring what's happening this week and why we #loveourcowtown!
-
Do you allow early check-ins?Typical check-in time for your stay is 2pm. If we can accommodate an early check in, we will. Please contact us no more than 3 days prior to your scheduled check-in date to inquire. If it's a yes (and it will be unless it can't be), you will receive an email from us indicating how early we can make work for you. Without this email, please do not arrive to the home any earlier than the standard check-in time.
-
Is there a specific check-out time?Yes, in order to service the home for the next arriving guests we ask that you adhere to the standard check-out time of 11am. On occasion, a late check-out can be granted. Generally, this is more readily available in the off season. But ask! It never, ever hurts to ask. :)
-
What cleaning is expected of me at check-out?Each home is provided a check-out list. We ask that you wash & drain any dishes, tie the trash but leave inside the kitchen trash can, leave the beds that you used unmade, remove all food that you brought with you from the refrigerator and cabinets, check drawers, cabinets, closets and outlets to make sure you have all your belongings and lastly to secure the home. We also ask that you ensure all the faucets are off, any tubs & sinks are drained and that all doors & unscreened windows are secured. You can view the full check out list here: Check-Out List If you're not sure about something, please email us or just give us a ring.

What are the standard amenities for the Guesthouse?Amenities you can expect to find in all our homes include starter supplies, wireless internet, streaming TV, coffee maker, small kitchen appliances such as mixers, sufficient cooking and kitchen supplies (pots, pans, baking sheets, kitchen utensils, dishes, & silverware), hair dyers, flashlights, and a first aid kit. For a more complete list of amenities, refer to the "more details" section when checking availability.
-
What starter supplies can I expect to find at The Guesthouse? We stock the Guesthouse with a few items to get you started, including: toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap and dish scrubbers. The amount provided is generous, but may not be enough to meet your needs for your whole stay. Please let us know if anything needs replenished. We also try to keep the home stocked with plastic baggies, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, basic cleaning supplies, spices, basic cooking supplies, etc. These items are not guaranteed but we do our very best to ensure they are available when you arrive. You shouldn't have any problem at all finding all the extras once you're here and settled. For a tiny mountain town, Collbran offers a pretty impressive lineup of products & services. As much as you can, we urge all our guests to spend some time downtown. We have several restaurants & shops you won't want to miss. You can even check out Roger's & LaDonna's personal list of Local Gems! They'll be excited to hear what you think! Please do keep in mind, you will drive through Collbran on your way to the Guesthouse. That does not mean it is wise to assume anything will be open when you roll into town. Depending on the day and/or time, Collbran may be rolled up for the night. If you anticipate a late or Sunday arrival, we encourage guests to stop in Grand Junction, Rifle, Parachute, Debeque, Palisade...take your pick if you're coming in later on that first eve/night. Our little town will have you covered after that but no one likes a skimpy start to their vacay. **Side note, we are toying with the idea of offering the option of a stocked fridge upon arrival. If this is something you'd find helpful, call or email LaDonna about it. If you'd be fine with sharing some feedback and helping us finetune that whole process, let's chat about what might work!
-

What's the best way to contact you between now and our arrival?Emailing LaDonna is the most reliable and efficient way to reach her. Signal strength and consistency issues up here can make phone calls more challenging. We've learned that even emails sent during a disruption typically reach us once service restores.
